How we operate
Building work can feel confusing when you don’t know what happens next. Our process is built around clear communication, detailed quotations, organised planning and keeping everything as straightforward as possible from the first enquiry through to work starting on site.
1. Enquiry Logged
Every project starts with our enquiry form so we can keep the key information in one place from the beginning. This allows you to tell us about the work you’re looking to have done, the property, your timescales, your budget and where you are in the process. You can also upload any plans, drawings, structural calculations, photos or inspiration images you already have. This helps us understand your project properly before arranging visits or giving advice.
2. Initial Review
Once your enquiry is received, we review the information before deciding the best next step. Some projects may already have everything needed to move towards pricing, while others may need drawings, structural calculations, planning permission or building control involvement first. We’ll be honest about where your project is at and what may be needed before a proper quote can be prepared.
3. Site Visit
Where a site visit is needed, we arrange a suitable time to come out and look at the property in more detail. This gives us the chance to check access, existing structure, ground levels, drainage, working space and any details that may affect the cost or how the work is carried out. It also gives you the opportunity to talk through the project properly and ask any questions before we prepare the quote.
Our quotations are put together to be as clear and transparent as possible. We aim to explain what is included, what has been assumed and anything that has been excluded. Where needed, we also include guidance notes, payment structure and any important information around provisional items or areas that may depend on further details. The aim is to give you confidence in what you’re accepting, not just a one-line price
4. Detailed Quote
Once a quote is accepted, we look at the next steps before work begins. This can include confirming dates, payment schedule, materials, subcontractors, access requirements, building control, structural information and anything the customer needs to arrange. Getting this organised early helps the job run smoother and reduces confusion once work starts on site.
5. Planned Properly
When work begins, our team arrives with a clear understanding of the agreed scope. We aim to keep the site organised, communicate clearly and work through each stage professionally. Building work can be disruptive, so we try to keep you updated, explain what is happening and maintain a respectful approach while working in and around your home.
